More Parrano, Please!



I have a weakness for find wines and cheeses, and I have hit the jackpot with a new cheese: Gouda Parrano. Technically a Dutch Gouda, it tastes like this unbelievable mix between a Parmesan and a Gouda - soft, tangy, nutty, subtle. Dorkily enough (because I did the research), it won best Gouda 2006.Try it with light crackers (we did it with sun dried tomato crackers) or on a sandwich! You can get it anywhere, which kind of disappointed me - I thought I had stumbled on something unique and new. But no matter - you can now find it in your grocer's cheese section. Bon appetito!
